Since its inception in 2015, Almost Home Chicago has become a trusted and valued community partner. Providing assistance to the poor, the hungry, the needy, the homeless, and the broken, we strive to be the hands, feet, and voice of hope by providing food, clothing, shelter, jobs, and love to those who need it most.

A 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, Almost Home is proud to work within the communities of our underrepresented neighbors.

We are getting ready to spread some holiday love to the residents of a local nursing home - and we need your help!

Almost Home, along with our wonderful friends from Beggars Pizza and the 4SADD Leadership Club at Central Middle School in Evergreen Park, is bringing some festive cheer to those who cannot go home for the holidays. We have food and music, and many volunteers, but we are missing one thing - gifts!

If you are able, we are looking for the following new, unwrapped items (and we have close to 250 residents - so please spread the word…):

  • Two piece pajama sets - both for men and women in various sizes

  • Bathrobes for both men and women in various sizes

  • Slippers for both men and women in various sizes

  • Soft and comfy fleece blankets

If you can help, please contact us through our Facebook page - feel free to hold your own drive at your place of employment !

Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others.
