LOAVES & FISHES CLOSETS

Often those entering halfway houses, sober living, treatment and rehab do so with only the clothes on their body. These “closets” offer personalized support to those friends while they are on their brave journey of recovery.

Because everyone needs help sometimes.

Almost Home…

As most residents arrive with little more than the clothes on their backs, Almost Home has “set up shop” to provide new and existing residents with necessities - personal hygiene items, shoes and socks, new pillows and sheets, towels, and so much more. Residents are also able to request specific items, and an Almost Home representative will bring them on a future visit.

The Guildhaus location is in honor of Almost Home Overdose Prevention and Drug Outreach Program Director Patty Ellison’s son, Aidan who was taken by an opioid overdose at age 22.

Our second location at the Chicago Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center provides essentials and extras for approximately 225 residents, most who are without family.

Our third location is at the Opioid Use Disorder Clinic at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, providing clothing and other necessities.
