Our individual donors and volunteers do extraordinary things. But the need is too large—and too unpredictable—for any one group to carry alone. The need is already at the door.

Almost Home is currently looking at 11 families waiting for $7,402 in rental assistance and 23 families needing $1,909 in utility help. Our Uber balance is under $200, bus passes are under $300, and laundry kits are nearly gone.

That is why flexible business support matters. It gives us room to respond while we continue pursuing grants and longer-term funding.

Hunger, housing instability and emergency expenses are hitting neighbors in communities across Illinois. Almost Home works on the practical problems in front of us—one neighbor and one next step at a time.
